Managing a call

Commands placed at the top, in the Call bar, allow you to manage the communication with another user.

During the call, the top bar displays always the name of your interlocutor and the time spent communicating; on mobile application it is possible to check also the connection quality.

The call management commands shown are listed below:

Hang up the ongoing call.

Activate/deactivate the microphone of your device within the call.

Activate/deactivate the audio of the call.

Manages the status of the device’s flash.

Only on mobile app for On Field user, it allows to switch from the rear camera of the device to the front one.

It allows to acquire an image during the call, this will be saved in the call details in the session history section on CMS.

They manage the switching between Video Streaming session and Photo Mode.

It allows you to share documents and images between the users involved in the call.

Activates the code reading mode, making possible to recognize and acquire Barcodes and QR Codes.

Through this button, the On Field user can stop sharing their video stream, Remote Support can instead start their own Video Streaming.

Allows to send a session invitation to additional users.

During video calls, text notifications are shown on the screen, alerting the user to certain actions of the interlocutor or informing about the status of the call.

Activate code reading

The code reader within Smart Assistance allows you to detect Barcodes and QR codes, extracting the alphanumeric value.

Code reading is activated by the appropriate button placed in the upper right menu. Upon activation, the system will begin to detect the codes present within the video stream, showing the value at the bottom in the central part of the screen.

By pressing on the area containing the code, it can be copied (for possible use outside the application) or saved in the call documentation within the history.

Invite a user to join the call

Smart Assistance offers the possibility to invite users during an ongoing call between two operators.

Within the web call screen, you can access this function using the button in the left sidebar; in the application it can be recalled in the menu at the top right. Once started, the users belonging to the workspace that can be invited on call will be shown.

It is possible to invite users to call in different ways:

  • Online user, direct invitation – the contact will be invited directly to the call, via an invitation screen, accepting the request will allow the user to join the call.
  • Offline user, session link copy – it is possible to copy an invitation message containing the access link to Smart Assistance, to be communicated via external platforms. The user will receive an invitation screen upon first access to the platform, accepting the request will allow the user to join the call.
  • Offline user, sending email – an invitation email containing the Smart Assistance access link will be sent to the specified address. The user will receive an invitation screen upon first access to the platform, aaccepting the request will allow the user to join the call.
